Solved Cannot download driver for Ethernet controller because of Realtek...

Yesterday I got a gaming pc for Christmas so I decided to set it up. I put windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on and used an Ethernet switch to connect to the Internet as I have an Xbox that needs a cable too. The problem is that nothing shows up when setting up a new connection.i checked device manager an this said that the Ethernet controller needs a driver update so the first thing I done was put in the Msi driver and utilities disc that came with it. It said that it found the driver on there but Realte pcie fe family controller doesn't let me update ethernet controller and I cannot figure out what I could do from here. I also tried the original and another Ethernet cable without using the switch but there is no change. Please help and thank you for your time.

Did you install all the drivers from the MSI disc? Motherboard Chipset drivers first (the chipset drivers identify the devices on the motherboard and some will not install if the chipset drivers were not installed).

I tried installing the disc again and it worked, suprised how simple that was. Thanks a bunch mate.
