Cannot find 64 bit 7 upgrade product key

The package I received from Microsoft is a bi-fold white cardboard envolope with a sleeve on each side of the inside of the package, one of which contains the upgrade disk. There is the usual Certificate of Authenticity sticker on the inside but none of the numbers on it are the product key. Why am I having such a hard time finding it? Or could it have been somewhere else in the package and I lost it somehow?

Did they email you the key code after you ordered it ?

The way I understand it, the upgrade key is the key of the system you are about to upgrade.

Yea I had to contact Digital River and have them re-send the order confirmation e-mail which contained the product key. I didn't realize the product key was in the e-mail and had deleted it.

Yes, but I had deleted it

You still need a valid product key to activate

The way I understand it, the upgrade key is the key of the system you are about to upgrade.

I thought this also, but this is not the case. The upgrade has its own product key

Print out Two (2) copies & keep one in an extra safe place

Just curious here, but wouldn't you have to have the key already entered to be able to see it with this?

Yes the Key would have to be entered in the first place to be seen even if it was not activated yet. But there are hidden Keys on the install that allow it to install, but you can not active these keys so they may be seen by Beliarc Adviser.
