Cannot Get Program to Run (Crashes on Opening)

[FONT=&quot]I have a Windows 7 laptop that I am using for legacy programs (and things on discs as my desktop has no disc drive and the laptop was cheaper than a disc drive). I have run into a problem with one program in particular.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Released in 2003 for Windows XP (and older versions of Windows), Warhammer 40,000: Codex Armies of the Imperium is a small army building program that was made available by Games workshop towards the end of the 3rd edition of Warhammer 40,000.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]I am able to get the program to install on my Windows 7 machine, but running it causes it to immediately crash. the program name (IAL_AOTI) appears in task manager but immediately disappears. I have tried every compatibility mode with the same results every time. I attempted to get Windows XP Mode to run but the only drive image I have is locked and it will not work.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]I've tried reinstalling the program, repairing the program, and running disk checks - Windows finds nothing. What should I try next to get this program to work?[/FONT]
