Cannot Install IE10 From Windows Update

Hello there,

My computer was victim to some malware and that seems to be cleared up but I am now not able to install Internet Explorer 10 through windows update. I am receiving an error code of 9C59. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Attached is my CBS.zip

I ran the Windows Troubleshooter and it fixed the problem for me, and then I was able to install IE10 without a problem, try running that

I'll see if I can work up a fix for that.

It seems that this error is often caused by problems with the SoftwareDistribution folder...


Open an Elevated Command Prompt
Run the following commands

NET STOP WUAUSERV
REN C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution SDOLD
NET START WUAUSERV

wait 15 minutes, and reboot
then wait 10 minutes, and open Windows Updates, and run a Check for Updates.

Install only the oldest update found - and reboot once installed
then go back to Windows updates and install any others.
