Cannot print multiple photos quickly in Windows 7 Photo viewer

I've tried the Photo viewer in Windows 7 and it is not a patch on the old XP photo viewer in the ease of being able to print multiple photos.
In the XP you could click on any thumb nail and then Print.
This then brought up all your thumbnails and you could make a multiple selection by ticking the wanted thumbnails.
This is not possible in Windows. In order to print multiple prints of thumbnails you have to rename the thumbnails so they are in order in the file. Then you highlight them, right click for Print and then select the amount of prints per page.
This adds several unnecessary actions while prolonging of the whole operation by minutes.
I have tried other viewers which may , or may not, be better for editing or improving picture quality but none are as easy to use as XP photo viewer for multiple selection.
If anyone knows on a viewer which does similar actions to XP photo viewer I woulkd be grateful to hear from them.
Thank you.

I've got the same problem, but it is still possible in Windows 7:

1. Select images in file explorer
2. Right klick, select 'Print'
3. Dialogt appears where you may select on right side number of pics on one page (e.g. 4 x 4). This means NOT that same pic is printed several times on one page, but that all selected pics are put in that layout.
4. press 'Print'

The only thing i could not figure out is how to customized the arrangemant of pics.

Hi I tried selecting multiple photos in windows explorer and then right clicked them and then clicked print but no dialog box appears, this is in windows 7 pro 64 bit if that makes a difference.

I had this problem too. The default preview program has to be set to windows photo viewer.

1. Open windows explorer, go to the file where your picture are
2. Hold down ctrl and select the pictures you want to print
3. Right mouse click, and select PRINT - windows photo viewer print box should open now
4. Select on right side the number of pics you want on a single page. eg: 2, 4, 9, etc.
You will see all the pictures you selected on a single sheet of paper. Click Print!
