Hi, background:
I had few problems using NordVPN until somewhat recently, but my use was intermittent. If it dropped a connection i was not worried. Now however, I need a reliable VPN working 24x7. Turns out, that wasn't working with NordVPN. Longer story shorter, they had me turn off NETBIOS over TCP in the network connection, which indeed seems to have improved their situation and created a new huge headache.
Now, my computer names don't resolve.
I can ping my other computers by IP address, but not by name. I have cleared caches, rebooted, but not being a network guy can only say Nord has made me trade off a working windows network to use their product.
So, #1 ... can I fix the problem and leave NETBIOS configured to disabled for Nord?
and #2 ... should I be looking for a different VPN vendor? If so, which?
