Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

Trying to run a game in steam yields - No available graphics adapter(s) found.

RTX 1060 Gaming
Win7 Ultimate 64 bit

Updated drivers separately and in Geforce experience, all windows updates done. Tried to uninstall at yellow triangle then scan for hardware changes and nothing fixes it.

Any ideas?

In your post you say you have an RTX 1060 Gaming. In My Computer you say have Asus Strix Nvidia Geforce 3090. Do you have a GTX 1060 or an RTX 3090?

The driver you installed 391.35 is pretty old. I installed the latest driver: 475.14 (July 9, 2024). If you want to see how I did it see the following thread:

Can’t install graphics drivers for RTX 3050

I used 2nd method described here:

My main is a 3090. My previous PC I'm trying to do something with is a 1060. That driver did fix the issue.

In the other thread I updated the driver for the GTX 1060 6GB. This same drive also works for your RTX 3090 which is why I mentioned it.

You played it safe by apparently using an old driver 391.35 (March 27, 2018) that wasn't affected by the driver signature problem. I was able to install a much newer driver 475.14 (July 9, 2024) by using the method I mentioned in the other thread.

It is OK if you stay at this old driver since it works. I just mentioned what I did just in case you wanted to try and do the same thing.

No worries I appreciate it. I'll leave it as it works and don't need it for anything else right now but if I do I will follow your advice.
