Cannot start Microsoft Outlook

Can some please help!! Trying to log into Outlook, but receiving this error message:
"Cannot start Micgosoft Outlook. Cannot open Outlook Window> The set of folders cannot be opened. errors have been detected in the file C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst."
Any assistance would be appreciated.
