Solved Cannot uninstall kaspersky antivirus

I've always been a BIG fan of Revo Uninstaller Pro. Revo has always been very good in regard to removing software, at least for me. HOWEVER, this evening was an exception. I was trying to remove a Kaspersky Antivirus program with Revo and, somehow, the uninstall was premature and apparently not everything became uninstalled, as their K icon still appears in my bottom taskbar and shows the manifestation of "its ugly face" when I try to reboot in the form of a popup advertisement for Kaspersky (since I was only on a trial with them) and interfering with my trying to open a page. VERY, VERY FRUSTRATING to say the least!! :mad2:

Further particulars:

- Kaspersky name does not appear - ANYWHERE - in the Revo program nor can the name be found there.
- Name cannot be found under the Programs section of the Control Panel (Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit)
- Despite my removing ALL folders bearing the name, Kaspersky in the registry with a safe reboot, their K icon still boots up and appears in the taskbar

I don't know any other recourse on this, and this really has me "fuming!" If anyone can offer some kind of solution for me to remove this program, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much!

That doesn't help (directions from Kaspersky to remove it: Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting), for as mentioned, the program does not appear in the Programs list under the Start button nor in the Programs & Features list under Control Panel. So, "sight unseen."

If you still have issues with a Kaspersky product, try using the remover tool in Safe Mode. Anti-Virus/Internet Security 6.0/7.0 cannot be removed using a 64-bit operating system.

Problem resolved. Right after I had sent the last message on Seven Forums, I did a safe mode reboot and quickly removed it with Revo Uninstaller Pro (this time, it DID appear in the Program files). No issues whatsoever. But thank you for your help.
