The other day I updated Adobe Flash Player, Java, and Adobe Reader; the installations went smoothly but the following day I discovered that I could no longer watch any videos at all. The Flash Player and/or Firefox always crashes if I try to watch online videos (inlcuding YouTube), whereas my media player (Media Player Classic) crashes when I try to watch my downloaded videos.
I did a system restore, which initially ran into problems, but even after the restore the video issue persists. Can someone offer some assistance?

P.S. I had also updated my video driver (ATI Radeon) around the same time as updating the other software, as I kept getting messages telling me that it had stopped working. But I doubt that this is connected to the video problem.

Thanks jumanji,

I ended up doing a second system restore (much as I was reluctant to do so!) using a much earlier restore point, and THEN re-updating the Flash Player, Java etc.

I would appear therefore that my updating the video driver was in fact the cause of all the problems. I won't update this again unless/until I once again get warning messages telling me that it has stopped working.
