I am trying to add a template page to a multi-page word document. I have about 100 pages to do and they are all the same layout with different information on each page. I have made a template and done all the instructions using the Add-in to add it to the document but nothing happens and the template is not added. Can anyone help? Thanks, Chuck

Thanks Archer, but I already have the template saved and I am working on a long Word document. I need to add the template into the existing document other than copy and paste since that changes the formatting every time. The article you posted doesn't seem to cover inserting a template into an existing document. I can't get it to work using the add-in process. Chuck

Have you tried creating a template in a new document, which has the desired format the you want, saving it & then copying your existing document into that template.
This is only a suggestion, it may not work.

Hi Chuckbear,

Add templates to Microsoft Word 2007 by applying given below steps
  • Open word document
  • Click on “Microsoft Office” button
  • After that Click “New” button
  • A template categories list open in front of you, from where select “Install Template” and Click on it
  • After that Select the template you want to use and Click on the “Create” button
Thanks
Kelvin Howard

Ranger 4, That is the process I am using now but the "paste" always misaligns the templat and it takes some time to fix it every time. Kelvin, I have tried your suggestion over and over, however the template never opens in the document. It just does nothing. That's part of my problem. Thanks to all. Chuck

Sorry but that is way over my head. All I want to do is be able to take a template I already have and be able to add it to a Word document I already have. Chuck
