Can't Boot Windows in PCI-e Slot 1

When I boot up my computer, it POSTs nicely displaying all the POST information. I have Windows 7 drivers set to visibly load and when that finishes, my BenQ XL2420T monitor displays "No Signal!" and I have a blank screen. If I disconnect the cable, I get the "No Cable Connected!" message from the monitor. When I reconnect the cable, the "No Signal!" message appears along with the blank screen again. This occurs with an Asus GTX 580 Matrix in PCI-e Slot 1 (closest to the processor) with a Display Port cable. Moving to the next available PCI-e slot results in a flawless Windows 7 bootup sequence. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something I need to enable or disable in BIOS? Any help is appreciated thank you.

Motherboard: Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z
Graphics card: Asus GTX 580
Monitor: BenQ XL2420T
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
System memory: 16GB Corsair Vengeance
PSU: Corsair AX850

There should be a pci-e setting in the bios. See what it's set to and change if necessary.

Thanks for the tip. I'll give that a try and see if it works.
