Hello all, this is my first post here so thanks for your help. I recently just bought a new HP 23 All-in-one desktop for a pretty cheap price. Not into gaming anymore so just wanted something that would save space and run pretty smooth. Figured it was worth $300 for a quad core and 500GB desktop. Anyways, I also ordered another 4gb stick to ship with it and upon arrival I put in that 4GB memory stick to up to 8GB. So here is where the problem is.

The computer came with windows 8.1 pro and I absolutely despise it. It is terrible and I may just be used to the good ol style of Windows XP and 7. (BRING BACK windows 98!!!! haha). Anyways, I formatted the hard drive and installed windows 7 on the machine. Everything went fine and it seems to be running pretty good.

I went to put on a screen saver and this message pops up: The screen saver can't run because it requires a newer video card or one that's compatible with Direct3D.

My directX version says 11, so I am not really sure why it is saying this? Thank you again for your help!

Welcome to the Seven Forums

Did you download & install the video drivers from HP?

Well I guess it is an integrated graphics. Does it still have its own driver?

Figured it out. Had to go to AMD website and download their catalyst driver thing and then it got the driver for it. All is good now. I was a little worried because it kept saying my windows experience index was 1.0 also. After this it jumped to 4.7. So all is good now. Thanks.
