I have a server set up in my office for 10 years and it is networked in within the office. Also it is set up for me to be able to connect to it by webmail and also to connect to see files and all I have on it. It has worked always, I was able to get in when out of town, till last week and on the same computer I have used, a laptop, now it does not let me in. The only change was, I have upgraded the laptop with the new Windows 7. I can still get in on my friend computer from outside the network, however he has Windows XP. I have tried other computers, some I can get in with some I can not. I went to Staples and I can not get in from there either. Does the new Windows have some new security installed preventing me to get in?

How do you connect to your server? I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by "webmail" are you referring to email presented on a webpage? If so, could you perchance tell me what the server is running (Exchange, Pop, or another protocol)

I have to ask, what web browser are you using to connect to OWA? And if your Using IE, are you using a different version on Windows 7 compared to the XP machine?

Also if your using IE 8 64 bit on windows 7, use IE 8 32 bit instead.

And while we're asking questions, what's happening? It's generating an error, isn't it? What does that error say?

My first suggestion would be just uninstall IE9 (it'll roll itself back to IE8 when you do that, so no need to panic about how to reinstall the previous one), and see if the problem persists.

I have went back to EI 9 nothing happened, uninstalled all the updates, same think. I have reset all security setings to the lowest, put my server into the trusted sites and all possible changes, no go.

Uninstall IE9, and use IE8.

I have found the problem and now I want you all know, the solution for me with Windows 7 Home premium and IE 9 was:
1.Run REGEDIT
2.Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\control\Lsa
3. Create a DWORD value under Lsa
4. Name it: LmCompetibilityLevel and set it's value to 1
Restart and voila, it works like a charm, you can log into your server.
Thank You for all participating in the search, all your hard thinking is most appreciated. \So long for now.
