Hello friends. I recently switch to qwest/century link for high speed dsl. I got the modem/router (actiontec q1000) set up no problem. However when I put the computer to sleep or if it goes into hibernation mode and stays there for more than 30 minutes, I can't get back onto the internet after I wake the computer up. I am hardwired to the modem, however the icon has a red x through it and says there is no internet connection. The weird thing is is that all of my wireless devices still work. If i do a full shutdown / restart it works just fine.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this problem to happen?

Thanks!

Tyler

That seems to work! I also changed my power setting from Balanced to High Performance. I don't know if that did anything or not, but after changing these two items I haven't had the issue happen!

Thank you for your help!:)
