1. There doesn't appear to be an option in BIOS to disable memory caching/shadowing. No advanced options, just Information, Main, Security, Boot and Exit. It's Phoenix SecureCore version 0.3204. Is there any other way of disabling memory caching?

2. My memory usage has been a lot higher since running ToolWiz Care tuneup program. I don't have any restore points from that period to reverse it.

Any help on how to remedy either or both of these issues would be really appreciated,

OEM computers in general and laptops in particular usually have only basic settings in the BIOS. This helps to avoid failures and the resulting warranty claims due to inappropriate settings.

Why do you wish to disable memory caching?

I thought it might help reduce increased memory usage after using ToolWiz. I've also had a few BSODs recently, and each time I'm told to disable memory caching and shadowing.

I would be very leery of tools like ToolWiz.
You do not want to disable memory cashing.

My recommendation is to just let Windows 7 manage your memory and ram.
In my opinion their is no program going to out smart Window 7 memory management.
