Can't find my graphics card!

lol well, if you run into further problems, best thing to do is move the PCI ATI card to another slot, even if you have to switch it with something if there are none empty right now.

The existing ATI PCI card and any new PCI-e ATI card will both be using WDDM 1.1 drivers and that's how it is going to be able to work well.

it's a dell optiplex 745 .. there's no option for that .. because Dell is weak.
I have two choices .. Auto and Onboard .. I've tried both ..
Thanks a ton for trying to help. I'll just downgrade to two monitors :)

I decided to try an odd option.
I decied to buy a PCIe 1x video card from Amazon (it's an HIS H435F512EP Radeon HD 4350 )
It' supported by the latest Catalyst drivers. Says it's supported in W7.
Fingers crossed.

Hi, I have a similar problem as the person that originaly started this thread... however when I tried to install the drivers for the card it turned up with a message that no compatible hardware was found although I am 100% sure I used the right drivers from the original nVidia website.

Could someone advise please...

hey guys, I'm with the same kind of problem. My Dell's Inspirion 1545 was running with Windows Vista Home Premium and I changed it to Windows 7 Professional. Everything is working ok, unless my video card or graphic card. It's the Intel X4500HD. I already installed the Vista's and 7's driver, but anything happen! I can't play any game or see anything that needs it that I could when my OS was Vista. Is there a way to fix it or I'm supposed to turn back to Vista?

I'm a complete newb in need of help. My main problem is that the display looks fuzzy and I only have two display settings, it's also auto finding my card and saying I have the "generic non PnP...." So I know I have an nvidia card but don't know which one. first off where would I find this info, and second how could I fix this display problem. I assume downloading the right driver should do the trick. thanks in advance.

I'm seeing a pattern here.

Hey guys, I'm new here.

I just had to reinstall windows 7 home 'premium'. Now windows doesn't know my graphics card exists? (I have an AMD rig, check my profile). So obviously microsoft hates me already:devil:

I downloaded all the drivers (and I mean ALL). AMD is so easy to get the right drivers, the auto detect wizardry found my R9200 in less than a second. But as far as windows is concerned, it doesn't exist???

What...The....(insert epic microsoft conspiracy rant here)

Please heeellpp

Hi,

I'll start a new thread now, thanks.

I have automatic updates on, and checked for updates manually. But nothing changed. Any other ideas?
