can't get any version of IE to work ??

My friends computer was giving her problems...particularly IE11. no mater what home page was set...the browser would load but the little circle would spin forever and the page...whatever was set for home page...would just keep loading and loading ?

We uninsulated 11...un-installed 10...un-installed 9...and was left with the original version 8 of IE.

But same issue ...whatever was selected as home page in IE 8 would start to load...then freeze and just kept the circle spinning and spinning.

Reinstalled IE 11 but exact same problem,....whatever is set to home page will not load...and no further navigation is possible while the loading circle is spinning.

Please help if anyone has any ideas on what's happening...and how to fix this. ( Firefox works fine but some programs she has (Cricut) she says requires IE )

Would prefer IE11 but any version would be good at this point ?

All applies to ie11-10
Use No Add-ons mode/ Click the Start button and type in the search box,
Internet explorer

Click on the suggestion (No Add-ons) or it’s located at,
Start/ All programs/ Accessories folder/ System tools folder/ No add-ons.

You can use these free tools to see if they find anything,
Manually Update them before running full scans,
Try not to use your computer while the scans are running, (one at a time of course).
Uncheck the box to Activate the Free trial from the final install options,
Also use the Custom scan option not the Threat scan,
Select the drive to scan usually C,
If your really infected check the box to scan for Rootkits = this scan option will take several hours to complete,
Never use your machine while scans are running for best results,
Please Do Not clean/ Delete or Remove Any detections before posting the scan results first before review especially Malwarebytes,

OK...some progress...ran Bitdefnder Internet Security 2014 before downloading malwarebytes and/or Superantispyware...did find 2 Trojans with Bitdefender that were deleted....will download other two tonight.

Also disabled all add-ons in IE11

Did notice now tho that any home page set other than yahoo.com seems to load fine ? Unless we set yahoo mail as the home page...then little circled spins and spins...if we go to yahoo home page all is ok until we click to go to mail...then nothing but the circle ?

Will advise after running two additional malware apps above

OK - ran both Malwarebytes and Superantispyware current editions and both found issues...also ran Microsoft Safety Scanner which reported no issues.

For Malwarebytes I sent the infected files to their "Quarantine file"...but can't figure out how to get to the quarantine items in Malwarebytes to get a list of issues. But they are "quarantined"

For Superantispyware the attached txt shows the discovered issues

Now do I delete/remove all issues found in Malwarebytes and Superantispyware ?

Using AdwCleaner v3: Scan & Clean:
Right click to run again as Administrator....


Click on the Clean button.
Press OK when asked to close all programs and follow the onscreen prompts.
Press OK again to allow AdwCleaner to restart the computer and complete the removal process.
After rebooting, a log file report (AdwCleaner[S#].txt) will open automatically (where the largest value of # represents the most recent report).
Copy and paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.
A copy of that log file will also be saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder.


Please post that log file
