My bad, I keep forgetting that you have to be "in Windows" to run the repair install.

If you have an installer disk, you can boot to Method Two in the system restore tutorial.

You said you have a Windows 7 DVD, that's what I meant to use.

Either set the DVD drive as first device to boot in BIOS setup, or use the one-time Boot Menu key given on first screen to boot the DVD.

Select Repair My Computer on second screen.

See if it finds an installation to repair, accept any offered repair.

If it doesn't start, boot back in the same way to choose Advanced Recovery Options, select Startup Repair.

Let us know how this goes.

Follow these steps EXACTLY to try booting your Win7 DVD: Boot from CD - How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD - Boot to CD

Next You should test your hardware to see if something is failing:

Burn memtest86 CD which will autostart, run for 5-6 passes or overnight to stress test your RAM. http://www.memtest86.com/download.html

Burn HD maker's diag/repair CD, which will also autostart to run full HD diag test. http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=287

At this point you will know your HD and memory are ok.

You can copy out your files using Paragon Rescue CD, which will autostart on its own. http://www.paragon-software.com/home/rk-express/

I would then wipe the HD using free Partition Wizard bootable CD which also will autostart. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/93322-partition-wizard-use-bootable-cd.html

Then the Win7 DVD will autostart to reinstall.

ok your using a ( asus motherboard ) right ? all the asus motherboards that i ever used uses the (delete) key to
open the bios so lets try it this way... turn your system off then restart it and start pressing the (delete) key . just
keep pressing it and you should get into the bios screen....
