I have a HP laptop that automatically checks if a bootable cd/dvd is present and then asks if I want to boot from it. I can't change anything in the bios.

Anyway this is what I get "CDBOOT: Couldn't find BOOTMGR"

I tried a Vista repair cd and it recognised that and gave me an option to boot from it.

I have a triple boot between Vista 32 bit, Windows 7 (7000) 32 bit and Windows XP 64 bit.

There is a txt file on the dvd that contains this "This disc contains a "UDF" file system and requires an operating system that supports the ISO-13346 "UDF" file system specification." Is that the problem? I doubt it.

I confirmed that the MD5 of my .iso matches the MD5 that is said to be that of the 64 bit 7100 .iso

How can I fix this?

What software did you use to burn the ISO?

I've taken to using Windows Image Burner as i've found it to be rather reliable and has worked every time i've used it.

I used Alcohol 120 at the lowest speed. Maybe it is a bad burn. I'll use windows image burer.

Where can I download it?

It's native to Windows 7. If you already have build 7000 running then you can just right-click the ISO file and choose to open with Windows Image Burner.

ok, thnx :)

I hope it works. When I look at the burned DVD I can see lines on the burnt part, so its probably a bad burn.

It should be 1 large block, no gaps or lines at all.

I started burning now, but looking at other empty dvds from the same set I can see some lines on them too :/

ummmmm... I checked verify disc. now it is verifying the disc, but it only gets to about 1/6 then goes to the beginning and keeps doing that loop

hmm, there shouldn't be as the data is written in 1 lump. Are they re-writable? That might explain something

Let it run for a bit and see what happens

They are DVD+R

Also the burn was not sucessful because an error occurred. This is bull. If the whole batch is defective this install will have to wait until tomorrow.

Well that didn't work... Stopped at the second step of installation. Expanding files. Stayed at 0%

I'm gonna download a new burning program, burn at the lowest speed, use up all empty dvds that I can find and then go to sleep.

That's a shame, sounds like a burn issue. Would be a waste to use all your blank DVDs though.

I should buy a DVD+/-RW for occasions just like this one. Then I can burn it until I get it right.

I just downloaded and installed imgburn The Official ImgBurn Website and I'm burning right now.
