Can't install HP Color Lasjer 2500L

I cannot install an HP Color Laserjet 2500L in Windows 7. I go to Devices & Printers, Add a Printer, Add a Local Printer, Use Existing Port (USB002), Next, Install Printer Driver, Select Manufacturer - HP, Click on 'Windows Update, dowloads non listed printers from WinUpdate, select Manufacturer HP, in right pane select HP Color Laserjet 2500 PCL 5, Click Next, select Replace Current Driver. The new driver begins to install. After about 2 minutes, I get "Printer Driver was not Installed. Access is Denied.

I installed Canon S900 using this method and things went nicely with the exception of having a 'inkjet printer' in Devices and printers along with the S900.

Cannot find an answer after two days of searching and reading.

Would appreciate help with this one.

Win 7 Clean upgrade, Dell 4550, 1 Meg Memory, 100+ free disk space. HP Color Laserjet 2500L

Download the Vista driver from the link below (PLC6 driver)

HP Color LaserJet 2500 Printer series- Download drivers and software - HP Business Support Center

Save it to your hard drive, right click on the exe and select run as administrator, see if it installs ok.
