Can't install my accounts disc

Hi

Have a new pc running windows 7 professional and I'm having a couple of issues trying to load software from my discs.

My accounts prog goes through the first two option screen then just stops and vanishes.

I know the disc is ok as I've tried loading it onto my laptop and the install sequence is fine.

Also, I have an external hard that I would just plug into me laptop and it loads itself and is accessible, I don't understand what happens on the new pc. Certainly different I need help on how to access this external drive.

As you can gather I'm not all that clever with pc's - just hope I turn them on and they work.

What operating system in on the laptop, I assume it is a different one than the one you can't install the accounts program on?

Check your software to see if it is compatible with Windows 7 here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

Do you mean you have an external drive which the new windows 7 machine doesn't recognize? How are you attaching it?

We will need some specs for the PC you have issues with. Follow these steps please.
