So this is the story guys.3 or 4 months ago i build a desktop system and one month ago my motherboard broke down.I bought another one that is compatible with my cpu but as i see i cant install some games, because i get data1.cab/media1.cab is corrupt/ some files from installation are corrupt.
Got these errors trying to install NFS The Run,Dirt 3 by now, but World Of Tanks and Hearthsone successfully installed.
Also sometimes i get blue screens with erros: PFN_LIST_CORRUPT or MEMORY_MANAGEMENT.I had Windows 8.1 and i thought if i reinstall the windows the problem may disappear but no...Now i have Windows 7 x64 and still cant install games.
I thought my hdd is faulty so i ran a chkdsk and i got no errors. No errors detected with hd tune pro either.
Last night i ran memtest and after some time i got pass complete no errors detected so i shut it down.
Now if you could help me that would be great because i dont know what is wrong. With old motherboard i never got a blue screen though.
Specs:ASUS Pegatron apm-78-gs
4Gb ram 800MHz (2x2GB)
SAPPHIRE R7 240 1GB GDDR5 WITH BOOST

Hello Poli sorry you have had to wait so long now when you say you ran memtest how many "passes" did you let it run for because you have to run at least 8 passes to get any confirmation of errors or not .

MEMTEST

The memtest you will need to make a bootable disk / stick andset the BIOS to boot from the optical (disk) or USB and it will take a fairtime to run- some leave it overnight..
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
But one thing is very important you must let the test run for at least 8 passes anyless and the findings are no good. Now if errors come up straight away then youcan stop it - see my pics (Keep in mind these are example only as they are shots of older versions but you will get my drift). Now if there are errors and you have more than onestick of RAM in then you will need to test each stick ie remove the sticks andreplace stick 1 in slot 1 and test no errors do the same in slot 2 withstick 1 no errors then repeat the process with stick 2 - that will show up thefaulty stick - the other thing is it could be a faulty slot but most unusual.

It is a very lengthy and tedious process but worth it if youhave errors.
PS Should have said read these and psot back the dumps

Well first thank you for replying to this.I let the memtest only one pass, i saw that he continues but i shut the pc down.Yesterday i removed one stick of ram and downloaded again all the games that wont install and they installed succesfully. So i think that, that stick of ram is bad. Dont know how bad because it just doesnt let me install the games(gives me that corrupt message)but once i download and install the game with that good stick of ram,i shut down the pc,install the bad stick of ram so ill have 4gb again and the game works like a charm...
I guess i wont need to run memtest since i know which is the bad one.Right?

No mate you need to install the RAM and run the memtest as prescribed - it does not necessarily follow that it is the RAM that is at fault it could possibly be the motherboard slot/s ;).
