Yesterday, I installed XP Mode on my Win7Pro desktop and everything went smoothly. I am trying to do the same for my Lenovo X220 laptop, which comes with Win7 Pro including SP1. All software is fully ligitimate with proper updates, etc.
XP Mode appeared to insatll ok, but not Virtual PC. When I try to run it, I get a message that says, "This upgrade is not applicable to your computer". FWIW, Windows XP Mode does not show up in my Win7 start programs listing.
This machine is a very clean Win7 OS install, with no special security other than Kaspersky. Any idea what's keeping this from installing?
