Hi

I Can't open firewall port
I used this guide
-http://www.thewindowsclub.com/block-open-port-windows-8-firewall

I tried to add a rule to the advance settings to allow port 8092 etc..

But when I run a port scanner it shows it as closed...

I am trying to connect xbmc/kodi web interface... to port 8092
by typing in my browser

e.g. 192.168.1.20:8092

but it says refused in chrome browser

Is 192.168.1.20 your computer or some other machine? If it's your computer and you're trying to access it from that same computer, it should work without having to open the port in the firewall. Because it's only a local connection.

Make sure the web application is running and is configured for port 8092. From a command prompt you can try this command to look for port 8092 where the state=LISTENING:

netstat -a -p TCP
