Can't Right Click and Play a Dvd Movie Broken :(

When I right click my DVD drive and click on Play to play a Regular DVD I get an error. I installed the Xiph pack and then removed it. Then installed Tversity with some Codecs and then both the 32bit and 64 bit Shark Codecs. (Which I have set to suggested shark settings and rebooted) If somebody could help me fix this, that would be great!

What model DVD player do you have? Have you checked to make sure it is properly connected?

yah it works fine, I burn stuff with it all the time. Can also play a movie If I manually find the .ifo Files on the disc.

Try playing it with VLC media player.

Hey Petey7, Sorry about about that its a (TSST Corp) Samsung SH-S243D Firmware SB00. I was trying to avoid installing another media player. Just seems something broke my right click play functionality

Well the Default Windows Play function is broken, But using VLC and "Play with VLC" works just fine.

You may try deleting the files under this folder and restart media player.

%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\

Hmmm when I try and open the local setting folder I get permission denied. Running as Admin , UAC OFF

go in there, tried deleting it, but no go, must be a mucked up reg setting somewhere
