Can't set up a new VPN connection in Win 7

Hi all,

On my computer at work I have an internet connection that works perfectly. I want to add an outgoing VPN connection.

Whenever I click on "Setup a new connection or network" or "Connect to a network" under Network and Sharing, nothing happens.

Is it possible that some necessary service is turned off? I built the machine myself and installed all the software on it so it's not a question of anything being "locked down" by IT.

Generally speaking it isnt a good idea to duoble post. It split the help and makes it a lot more difficult to follow. Just a FYI

This was my first post and I mistakenly posted in the wrong forum. I tried to delete the post but I couldn't find a way to do that.
