Solved Cant uninstall printer driver+software

On one of my computer I can not uninstall the printer driver/software combo! After finding the file location through the running processes in device manager it points to:
C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3

Any help would be apriciated.

I already removed and uninstalled the software, its just the status monitor that is left. Its an annoying icon in the task bar.

Also sorry about being not able to keep you guys notified, I had a busy day yesterday, and a busy day today, so if I don't post back trust that i will when i have the time.

right-click on rb: | PROPERTIES | TASKBAR tab | NOTIFICATION area | CUSTOMIZE button | now you can select which icons and notifications you wnat to appear in the "Notification bar"

That doesn't help me as I want to get rid of the Epson Utility all together, not hide it.

Sorry If I wasn't being clear.
First of allI uninstalled all of the Epson Software, but a piece of software remains, and that is the utility that includes the notification icon. So even after going through the steps to reset the notification icons, the utility is still there, specifically under this folder:
C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3
This folder has the .exe and other items regarding the utility, which is what I want to get rid of.

You could always just boot safemode and delete the file.
Any clean up or scanning tool should be able to clean up the remaining mess, if there is any.
Most likely it will just leave behind a dead registry reference though.

So, booting in safe mode and deleting the .exe file should stop the utility from running, but afterwards I should use a utility like CCleaner to get rid of the remaining files?

Edit: deleted the file in safe mode, and now the utility doesn't run anymore, will scan with CCleaner and post back.

I would only scan if you get error messages booting normally afterwards.
Otherwise it's just a dead link in startup items, worst thing it can do is slow boot by a few seconds.

ok, well I ran it just incase and there were some dlls relating to the program! now I have the utility compleatly uninstalled, Thank You!

and now you can actually get some of those dead entries out of the registry--either the hard way or the easy way (horror upon horrors!)

Simply run the Registry part of CCleaner. You computer will not crash and burn. I do this about five times a day due to all of the testing i do of strange situations and also from being in coffee shops. And if you are really paranoid, CCleaner asks you if you want to save a backup before it cleans.

And I will commit real heresy here--to really clean out all of the deadwood, download auslogics registry cleaner (link in my sig).

I don't have a problem with registry cleaners in general. The problem I have is the people using them have no idea what they are looking at when the results pop up and they just remove everything.

...and yes that can lead to problems in the long run.
