Ok so im wondering something, i have a couple video cards and im wondering which is the best and can handle the most with newer games and online games like WOW and star craft, a couple of these are lower end and older cards im just not sure how to tell or know what each is capable of.

1st card i have i just bought it is a Zotac GeForce GT 430 with 2Gb DDR3 memory with Dual DVI and Hdmi out
2nd card i have is an older Geforce 8800GTX 768mb also with DDR3 memory Dual DVI and S-video out
3rd card i have is geforce 7950GT with 512Mb GDDR3 Memory Dual DVI and S-Video out
4th is an older ATI card HD4650 1Gb Gddr2 with HDMI outMemory

My guess is that in the order i listed the card is the order of which is best, the Zotac being the best.
I dig the old 8800GTX cause its huge and id like to use it in my PC but it doesnt have an HDMI out on it and im soon to be getting a nice 24" hdmi monitor.
Im not much of a gamer anymore, i was a few years ago but ive lost my touch,,, im just goint to play halo and maybe WOW and an older racing game i like,,, BUT im really liking the looks of borderlands2 and possibly thinking of getting it when i get my 24" monitor but im afraid none of my cards will handle it very well and id rather not play with the minimal settings.
Anyhow Thoughts? Opinions?

Oh im also wondering why a brand new card (the zotac) uses DDR3 as does my 8800GTX which came out in 2007?

Any specific Budget you have for you GPU's? All these are extremely low end not to mention old although the 8800GTX will have a bit of a kick in it.
A DDR5 GPU is a must these days if you want to game in the least especially if your thinking of running B2.
My advice is to get a used 5670 1GB/128Bits/GDDR5 if you can find one. Its extremely cheap and gives more bang for your buck. It should be around 40-50$ or lower. I had one, played Battlefield 3 on it on medium settings with 30-40Fps mostly. Maxed every other game out like kingdom of Amalur (50+ fps) etc. It will definitely play B2 with playable Fps.

Budget is what i have,, i just bought the Zotac not long ago,, i figured since its has 2gb ddr3 id be good for pretty much anything,, i tried an older game demo Crysis and it played it pretty good and seemed to handle everything on full without stutter except when there was alot of action all at once then it would choke a bit but that may be my system in general not cause of the graphics

In gaming,What really matters is the memory type and bits. The one your mentioning is probably 64 bits right? It can be 6GB and wont make much of a difference. Thats more of a common knowledge these days. a 256Bits GPU with DDR3 like the 9800GT is also a good choice if you can find one. Its a monster in my opinion.
What i mean is,look for higher bits,at least 128bits.

Shin is right. All that you have are low ends however the 8800 would be your best bet if your budget is what you have.

I suggest selling em off and stack up the sales cash and get the newer gen ones. DX 11 is great and the new tech definitely works out the dings of the older cards. Also what CPU are you running on and its current speed. The worse thing that could happen when you mismatch GPU & CPU is you'd get bottlenecks. Bottlenecks in short and simple would be 200 FPS capable card only produces 20 FPS.
