I have brand new system using a Gigabyte GA-EP45-ud3lr board with a Q8300 cpu (with VT!) - the problem is with the Silverstone FP34B card reader - device manager just shows an unrecognised PCI device -the device is plugged into a VIA USB PCI card. All USB devices/slots including those on the FP34 are working fine.
I also have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit with XP Mode installed and working.
I tried also using XP Mode but its not recognised there either.
From reading other threads is there a generic issue with card readers on 64 bit machines? Although strangely I hear rumoured that they do work on 64 bit Vista! Whats different (apart from the obvious!)?
I did try the Akasa driver mentioned in another thread but without any success - any other suggestions?
