Hi. After 2 years, I have a problem when my Windows 7 computer goes into Sleep Mode. For the past 2 years, everything would shut off and not restart until I moved the mouse or hit a key on the keyboard. In the past month, though, the case fans and CPU fan will come on and then go off intermittently during Sleep Mode. I would guess maybe 4 times an hour.
I've tried disconnecting Bluetooth, cleaning the motherboard, getting a new cpu heatsink/fan, etc. The temperatures now after upgrading the heatsink are around 80F for both CPU and motherboard. I wasn't sure if has something to do with the GWX upgrade notification. In the Shut Down menu, I have a Shield saying there are updates to be installed on shut down. It is there no matter how many times I restart or shut down.
I have tried messing with Power Options too but not sure what to do? Is it a motherboard problem or something to do with this upgrade or something else?
