I have used CCleaner much longer than Wise. I started using Wise maybe a month or so ago. I find the Wise Disk Clean and Registry Clean to be very good. I haven't tried the disk or registry defrag. It is just a matter of "ain't broke so don't fix it." I haven't investigated the CCleaner Pro features. The free one seems to work well enough. Another thing it seems to be easier to get the Wise Pro versions from giveaway sites than CCleaner Pro. Although you can often find a discount for CCleaner Pro I don't remember seeing it for free.

If you keep an eye out for Wise Care 365 Pro on the giveaway sites it usually pops up before too long. The disk and registry cleaning are components of it. Although the free versions of both work pretty well also.

CCleaner free is good enough. The Pro version only has the added benefits of automatic updates and active monitoring. I have the Pro version, but I got it to support the company and at the time had a good deal on the Pro Plus pack (all 4 Piriform apps included).

If you ever find a registry entry (or set of entries) that slow a computer down, please let me know. I would like to try and replicate the slowdown in a virtual machine.

Hmm Thanks MilesAhead. You have cleared my doubts thanks
