Hello all

This Week-End I found that we can change the default speaker output in the new Media Player.
For me this is a great improvement because I use 2 sound cards in my desktop. The onboard chip for my desktop speaker with all "windows sound" is the default one, and a Creative Audigy for music listening connected to my HiFi (for now I used Winamp).
The fact that WMP allow to change default speaker is really great, but the perfect thing would be to make the same to Media Center.
I searched a lot of time under Vista without succes, and today I hope that the Media Center will follow the same way that WMP.
But at this time I didn't find anything on MC. I thought that WMP and MC was connected in a sens, but It seems not.

So my question is simple: Is there anyone who know if we could change this settings into Media Center ? (Even with a registry edit)

Thanks

I've got an article on using ffdshow audio in Media Center that will do what you want but it is slightly complicated. You can follow the guide here: Hacking Windows7 MediaCenter: Using FFDShow Audio in Media Center

Then at the end of the article is a link to another guide on setting up speakers in ffdshow: Hacking Windows7 MediaCenter: Simple FFDShow Audio Settings

It's a little more complicated to get setup than just a regedit or a media center setting but its what I use and I couldnt be happier.
