Solved Change/Edit Font Previews

I've been meaning to ask about this issue for a while now.

A significant number of my font icon previews bear no resemblance to the actual font.

Is there a way to edit the files so that the font icon previews show the actual font?

The reason...least for that font file, it is for special languages, the preview and the icon dont match because they are using different characters. The icon is using characters for the particular language it is for.

I hadn't taken that into account (the other characters only show up in the "Character Map" tool).

I phrased my question poorly.
I should have asked if there was a way (e.g. a program) to make the "Large Icons" previews more useful.
In my case, I'm only interested in the English characters.

There are programs available that can have the sample text changed and can print sample sheets for storing in a binder. One I use now and then is FontViewOK, free FontViewOK - font types view and comparison

Thanks for that suggestion.

It looks like it might be handy in some circumstances, but it doesn't have the ability I'm looking for (if it does, I can't figure out how to activate it).

About 60 fonts don't show up in the interface (including the one in my OP).
Some of the functions don't seem to work on my PC (e.g. "View" in the context menu does nothing).
I also tried running it as Administrator, without success.

Is it possible that something like Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape have the necessary tools?

That may be due to the type of Font and what the program works with, some will be TrueType/.ttf, some will be .fon or maybe OpenType/.ttc, may be other types but that's what my Win7 has. And some of the types may come with other programs.

I meant in the Windows Font folder.

Most of my extra fonts have been courtesy of MKVExtract.

If programs install their own fonts they should be in the Fonts Folder but it's possible for the programs to use proprietary fonts that don't install in the Fonts Folder. Are the font files .ttf or ?.

The one in the picture appears to be .otf.

I wouldn't be surprised if the others were .otf too.

If they were normal files, I could just make my own icons for them.
