Gooday all. I have this issue when I stop and restart the computer. Such as when one has to do a restart for updates to take effect. The updates are not the cause of the issue IMHO. The puter mother board has an outlet for monitor, blue, and the video card has 2, the blue and the white ones. So, I have turned the machine off and then need to come back and start it again. I can hear the machine start up but no action on the screen. Change the cable over to the other output and she lights up. This does not occur when I start the machine first up in the morning. Please ask away any questions you may have, I will endeavour to answer where I can. Speccy is showing OS as Win 10, I have just upgraded from 7 and I had the issue before the upgrade.
Speccy below.

Hi jamtin -

Just to check I have the issue correctly diagnosed: you have a graphic card and integrated graphics port on your motherboard, and when you restart the PC, your graphics card is switched off, and you are getting integrated graphics only?

It looks like your motherboard is not picking up your graphics card.

The first thing I would do, is to make sure that your graphics card is seated properly. Take it out, get any dust off of it (using compressed air preferably), also use the compressed air on the pci slot, then re seat it.

If that doesn't fix it, I would try testing with a different card, in case that's the issue.
