Check disk hangs and will not run at startup

Hey, I'm running Windows 7 and i ran the checkdisk to perform upon a restart because it can't check a hard disk that's in use, but when i restart it shows me the VAIO/BIOS splash screen then hangs to black and it's still stuck there. I restart and same thing. Can't get past it. Any ideas? Also it's a SSD, doubt it matters, but the more info the better.

Reboot to safe mode, then run the chkdsk command from an elevated command prompt again for the same drive/partition. If it tells you to reboot, do so to normal mode and see how it goes.

Main point is to rid the flag for chkdsk. A successful run doing the above will achieve that.
