Solved Chrome won't open

Double clicking the Chrome icon in toobar,there is a slight attempt to open it (with the app opening clock spinning for a second), but nothing happens; also tried rebooting and even downloaded a new installation file, but a Google "unknown installer box" appears. Also started in "safe mode", and also did scannow.



I rather not delete my current browser as I think that all data will be lost?? I still have my user data files.
Any suggestions?

try going into settings-advanced-scroll to bottom of page and reset and clean up chrome

Problem is I can't open chrome.

Solved by deleting and re-installing in another browser.
