Solved excel csv files won't open in windows explorer preview pane

my excel csv and word docx files won't open in windows explorer preview pane. the docx files preview is now working due to below link, method 3. did the equivalent for csv but it didn't work. think the csv registry values are corrupted but the office repair didn't solve the issue. what to do now ? thanks.

the previewconfig tool did it. csv has windows preview now.
