Hello
I recently stumbled upon a forum thread of someone who apparently broke their system and to resolve it copied system32 from installation DVD to C:\Windows\System32 with xcopy /E /H /R /Y. They ended up with a classic theme with aero titlebars. I would wish to replicate this, so is there any way? When I did the same procedure to copy the system32 from install dvd, the computer BSOD on startup. The error is 0x000000F4

Here is the forum post, so you don't ask later https://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/298870-theme-glitch-half-aero-half-classic.html

Yeah, did you read all the posts on that Thread? It sounds like they did not get it to work fully. The problem is that Windows Update updates files from the system32 folder, and if you go and copy the older versions across, then the system wont recognise them - so a Repair Install is probably going to be immanent.
