Im not sure what happened to my original OS, but one day after class it just would not load past the login screen. After exhausting all other options to save my system, I finally decided to reformat via the acer eRecovery tool that can be accessed using alt+f10 while the laptop is booting.
The process was long and failed on 3 occasions, during the first failure i was able to boot windows fine and everything felt like it was new but administrator settings were locked away and i could hardly do anything about it. The internet offered me 3 solutions for this, the first was to enable the privileges using computer management, then another suggested i used command prompt while the last told me to search the partition acer eRecovery is located.
I tried all options several times but non of them worked then suddenly on one of my repeated attempts the acer eRecovery tool started all of a sudden and simply picked up where it left off.
the recovery tool then stopped again during the installing cleanup phase. Again I frantically searched for solutions, tried all of them, non of them worked then suddenly eRecovery starts out of the blue and continues to install and finally it reaches the point when it installs sysPrep.
The computer hanged again and I decided to reboot via power button but when the system finally booted everything was unexpectedly perfect. Since then ive redownloaded over 20 programs which were successfully installed without any problem.
Unfortunately while browsing using Google Chrome, the laptop suddenly got a blue screen and restarted. Currently im afraid to continue using my laptop because I fear all the games and programs that im downloading and setting up might end up needing another reinstall soon, please advice
