Clean Install Win 7 doesn't Recognize Drives

Background: I stared out with Windows 7 Ult 64bit and upgraded to Win 10 Pro because it was free last year. I've had off and on problems since the upgrade and decided to go back to what was very reliable for me. With Win 7 & 10 never had a hard drive problem and just before doing the clean install today, I ran a disk scan on all three of my drives. All came back with no errors. Only two of the drives will be reformatted. Even though my UEFI saw all three drives, during the install setup only my SSD was seen, which was OK considering that was where Windows was going to be installed. I formatted and installed Win 7 to include installing all necessary MB updated drivers.

The problem I'm having is that my two WD drives are popping in and out as being recognized by Windows and the Rapid Intel Store software. When they pop in by the time I go to Windows Explorer, they fall out. They don't even show in Disk Management. I figured current storage and SATA drivers for my MB would have solved it but it didn't. I'm at a lose here. My SSD is only for Windows where I designated my 1TB WD for all my programs. Any suggestions to resolve this would be great.

When you did the fresh install did you disconnect the other 2 drives beforehand. If not, then problems often occur as the installation seems to end up putting some info on the wrong drive.

You also mention that all your program files are on the 1TB drive. This will be a problem as well. 3rd party programs have to be installed with the current installation of Windows. If you have reinstalled Windows you will have to reinstall all your 3rd party programs as well, even though they are on a separate drive. These 3rd will only work in conjunction with Windows, so it's best to install all your 3rd party programs on the main OS drive, this give the best speed.

Did you install windows as Legacy-MBR or UEFI - GPT?
Did you open device manager to see if there is any driver missing?
On BIOS:
- Secure boot and fast boot must be disabled
- CSM (Compatible System Mode) must be enabled or OS=other.

What ports are you connecting to on some MB they have raid ports which if you put drives on them may need drivers
