I have an old hp dv6 that has black screen issue, i try everything from holding power button to reflow.
So a friend gave my his old CQ45 to use while i save money for a new PC (really need a new one) the problem is that was W8 and also has a sofware isssues, so it need to be format and also I install W7 (sucks install W7 in W8 machines but i made it).
So far no issues at all, works perfect. But suddenly while i was configuring wireless conection (typing my wifi password) screen goes blue and then blink repeatly between blue and black and finally stays black.
This scare the shit out of me, i try to reset it but the first thing i see is a blue screen where the logo should be, then black and blue again when microsoft logo should appear along whit the cursor, i can hear how windowns start, the typical sound of W7,but is all black.
The HP I have before just has blinking leds and nothing more but this manage to start windows, just dont show it on the monitor.
It was so sudden, I did something wrong, how can I solve this?

It s worth keep this 2 old laptos or is just better sell it for pieces to buy a new Pc, as far as i know all compenents are ok and this is a sofware issue (mother board issue for the DV6, but the rest is ok)

Hi Leonardo21 and welcome to WSF. On boot up start tapping F8 till you get to the selection screen where you can choose Safe Mode With Networking Boot into that and return to this post. Click the link I provided. And Where it says "HP can identify most HP products and recommend possible solutions." Click the red button that says "Identify Now" Update all drivers that are recommended.
