Okay, so when I start up my computer, it takes me to a page that is titled " Windows Boot Manager "

The page says:
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:

1. Insert Windows installation disc and restart your computer
2. Choose your language settings and click " Next "
3. Click " Repair your computer "

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

File:/Boot/BCD

Status:0xc0000225

Info: An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration date.

( Then in a white line at the very bottom is says )

ENTER=Continue

And then I click enter and it starts up again and takes me to the exact same page. I don't have the original disc I got, so I bought a new one and it doesn't work on the computer for whatever reason.

This started a few months ago when I was trying to do a factory reset, when I tried to turn it on it just started showing me this page. Beforehand the computer was still acting weird, like not letting me get onto google ( saying it couldn't connect but only when I went to the google website ) and just being very slow and glitchy.

Can anyone help ?

Welcome to Sevenforums Averybee!

First of, can you get into command prompt (console) using the new disc you bought? I've faced your problem more than a few times in the past and I solved it by following the steps provided to me (couldn't remember from where exactly, could be this forum) thus:

1. insert "windows 7 disc" or "your newly bought disc"
2. click option for Windows system restore. Don't click option for recovery of factory settings.
3. click next at the dialog prompt for keyboard
4. click option for "Command Prompt" to run these commands: (doesn't have to be capitalized)
BOOTREC /FIXMBR and press ENTER
BOOTREC /FIXBOOT and press ENTER
BOOTREC /SCANOS and press ENTER
BOOTREC /REBUILDBCD and press ENTER
EXIT and press ENTER
click restart button.

hope the above helps. God bless,
