Hello ALL: I have Norton Security Suite installed. {Norton Security Suite comes with Comcast Cable}. It is supposed to protect the computer from intrusions e.g. adware. Also I have Malwarebytes' Antimalware installed, since I have had good experiences with its capabilities. It is free. The version I have does not scan continuusly; you have to initiate scans to identify intrusions and eliminate. I spoke with the Norton Support group and they told me I should remove Malwarebytes' Antimalware, since it will interfere with Norton. I do not want to do this.

Any advice available on this issue is mpost welcome,

Thank you

Angus

Keep Malwarebytes, Ditch Norton with the removal tool, a search will bring up sites where you can get the Norton Removal Tool. Enable the Windows Defender in the Control Panel, it is unobtrusive and rated well amongst the free choices. Norton causes more problems than it is worth, and I remove it from every machine that has troubles, fixes 80% of the problems encountered with network connections... :)

angusmdmclean, I highly recommend the pro version of MalwareBytes, best $25US I have spent.

In fact, I have bought at least 10 copies for friends.

I,personally do not like norton, and as for Comcast norton, if you ever change ISPs you have to uninstall norton because it dies.
I would recommend uninstalling norton, put on Microsoft Security Essentials for your antivirus program which is for and getting the pro version of Malwarebytes, which is an excellent anti spyware program

I have uninstalled Norton Securities. Presently I have installed the free version of MALAWAREBYTES I am today going to buy the pro version of Malwaware bytes. Now should I (a) first uninstall Malwaware then

(b) install Microsoft Security Essentials.

(c) Then finally install the pro version of malawarebytes.

It seems this is the sequence to follow.....yes?
