Solved Complete backup to empty HDD?

I made a complete backup of my system and placed it on an external HDD.
I am planning to get a bigger HDD, is it possible to put it on this new empty harddrive so that I can boot my os (windows 7), software and files?

Yes, assuming you are referring to an image when you say "backup".

If by ''image'' you mean the operating system and all the files? Then yes.
Do you know how to do that?

I know how to do it with Macrium, Acronis, and EaseUS.

I am guessing you used Windows built-in imaging. I gave up on it and don't have a clue. But others on this forum have used it successfully and there are a number of tutorials here on how to use it.

The Windows tool can back up your "system" and also your personal files--pictures, videos, mp3, etc. I'm not sure if you are also intending to backup your personal files.

I'd guess it is an image, only because I see an image folder in that picture.

Many here would tell you to use another application instead, but that link is for the Windows tool, which you appear to have used and about which I know virtually nothing.
