Hello. I just finished my first build and my computer restarts/crashes constantly. It will restart while im in the bios, while it's restarting, pretty much any time. I have no idea where to turn from here. I tried creating the minidump folder, but it doesnt seem to take. I cannot find the folder/files in the windows folder in my c drive. I have been trying to figure this out for weeks and have been reading everything related to this issue that I can find. Please help me.

According to the specs I'm looking at for your board its only suppose to be able to use 1333MHz RAM, but you have 1600MHz RAM. Judging by your cooling set up and the fact your using 1600MHz RAM I assume you are OCing. Are you?

Also have an Asus ha1002xp netbook with Win 7 Ultimate installed.
I am not OCing being that I can't get my system to stabalize enough to consider it. I also read that you can use RAM faster than 1333 mhz for this board and that it wouldn't make a difference.

Doing some looking I've found that some say you can if its overclocked, but I've always been told you can't go above the boards specs. The RAM is your problem. I'm sorry that you heard the wrong thing, but you are going to have to order some 1333MHz RAM or buy a new board.

Alright. The 1333 Mushkin RAM that I ordered just arrived. I have installed it and things are looking good. I will let you know if I experience any bsod's. I am still at a loss as to why I can't make/find and minidump folders/files. Thanks for your help. I can't wait for this rig to get off the ground.

dump files are only made when an actual BSOD appears. If you use a registry cleaner/pc tuner, that is probably deleting them.

Ok. I haven't actually gotten a blue screen. My pc just restarts on its own often. Since I install the new RAM about 30 min ago, it has restarted about 3 times. The screen just goes black. and it reboots. I have since uninstalled any programs that I think might be having driver issues. I don't know where to go from here.
