Computer crashes when in a game

This is my first thread here so i am not sure if i am posting in the right area, but i am having major problem with my pc. When ever i start playing a game, what ever it may be, (Starcraft 2, Battlefield 3, League of Legends, Ect) 10 to 20 minutes into playing the game, my computer randomly freezes, and i am forced to unplug it, and plug it back in to restart it. This never happens when ever i am just browsing the internet. Please help.

Kindly give us more detailed specs of your Computer so we can find out the problem. The problem your having could be triggering from PSU, GPU, Drivers, Overheating etc which we're not sure about yet.

* Fill in your computer specs, so that we will have some information in order to help you.

* Your problem may be caused by many things > RAM problems >graphics drivers > overclocking > heat issues > using more than one AntiVirus at the same time > etc etc.

* Make sure PSU is working properly.

* If overclocking, restore to original.

*Any BSOD DMP files produced?
If so we need them to enable us to assist you with your computer's symptoms.

* Have you any System Restore points created PRIOR to this happening?


Some troubleshooting steps you might care to consider.

*Type event viewer, in search (by start button) and look for errors that may show the cause of the problem.
Look for critical errors (they have red in the left column ).
Note critical errors that say app hang, app crash, or anything that relates to the problem.
Google for more information.

* Try a clean boot, or boot into safe mode.

After 5 days and no sign let's hope the problem was fixed and not that his computer exploded and took him out with it.

On a serious note, I'd like to know what the cause was too. Seemingly random freezes are really annoying to troubleshoot.
