Computer keeps bsoding.

If I understand correctly, you have not gotten another BSOD since you changed graphics cards? I surely hope this solves the problem. Keep us posted.

yes but using the other graphics card it never bsod'd constantly like it was doing today.

ok well, i kept getting Display driver atikmdag stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
then black screens of death where i had to manually power down.

i went and installed latest drivers and got a bsod then bsod when computer started

now i just keep getting "Display driver atikmdag stopped responding and has successfully recovered." and black screens of death.

do you think i need to rma my motherboard? or what do you think it could be?

edit:
i booted to safe mode, ran drive sweeper, booted back to regular windows and installed the drivers again. walked away for a minute afterwards, when i came back there was a black screen and thin red line stock on screen.

booted back to safe boot and ran drive sweeper again and havent installed drivers and seems to be running fine. so how could it be only drivers? ive had this problem for two graphic cards now, and both work 100% fine when i remove drivers with drive sweeper, but soon as a driver gets installed its bsod or black screen.

edit: 2
i ran drive sweeper, removed the gpu i got tonight, put the 4850 back in and installed catalyst 10.8 instead of 10.10. so far so good. thinking problem was the new drivers, however it doesnt explain why i got a bsod everytime while installing windows =\.

well i still continue to get bsod. drivers only install no catalyst.

ive tried 10.5, 10.7, 10.8, 10.9 and 10.10 driver verisons. none seem to help, it'll go a day or few without bsods then just bsod randomly.

ive never once had a bsod in safe mode or with gpu drivers unistalled.

i thought it had something to do with drivers windows 7 auto installs when i install os so i did this which was posted on another forums.

"The ATi drivers are part of a staged driver package in the Windows "DriverStore". To fix this:

Uninstall the ATi drivers with the CCC uninstall program and reboot the computer. go to device manager and "Update" your display adapter driver and select the "Standard VGA" generic Microsoft driver.

Then, to remove the ATi driver from the DriverStore:

1. Open a command prompt with administrator privileges.

2.At the command prompt, type the command: "pnputil.exe -e"

(This will list all of the drivers in the DriverStore. Most will be Microsoft, but you should find one (or two with 5xxx cards) drivers from ATi Technologies. One for the Display adapter (and one for the HD Audio device, for 5xxx series). Listed with each one will be a "Oem#.inf" file. Take note of these numbers.)

3. To remove this/these drivers from the DriverStore, run the following command for each of the ATi .inf files: "pnputil.exe -f -d Oem#.inf"
Obviously, replace the # with the number of the .inf file you want to remove.

4. Reboot.

Windows will now use the Standard VGA driver as the fall-back driver when you uninstall your ATi drivers."

please let me know what to do. if this is still 100% gpu drivers alone causing this should i buy nvidia instead of amd? or is this ram/mb/cpu related? ive ran memtest for 7 passes and passed all..
