Computer making weird noise, and going slow

Randomly when I'm using my computer it will make a weird noise and freeze up for a second and then go back to normal. It's getting kind of annoying. It makes a noise that sounds like boop. Anyone know why this is happening?

This laptop is like 4 months old! That's not good...

A boop noise could also be telling you when windows blocks a popup. Do you notice anyhting telling you explorer has blocked a popup ? Or does your pc do this at anytime ?

What exactly are you doing when it happens ?

Perhaps there is a dodgy connection in your laptop and one of your internal components is momentarily disconnecting and then reconnecting.

Good call, windows defenitly makes a noise when you connect and disconnect a piece of hardware.

When it happens, usually I'm on the internet (I use Google Chrome btw), but not always.

As for the dodgy connection thing, is there any way to make sure? I don't want to spend money fixing what's not broken.

If you can handle it, simply and carefully flip the laptop over and remove the battery. Flip it back over and hold down the power button for 10 seconds to drain the power. Flip it back over and remove the cover over the hard drive, usually it`s the biggest cover. Confirm that the hard drive is fully seated. There are usually 2 or more screws holding the hard drive in place. If they are all in place and tight, chances are the hard drive is securely in place. Simply push on 1 end of the hard drive and make sure it`s firmly seated against it`s power and data connectors. There are many videos you can watch on youtube.

Use the right size phillips screw driver and DON`T STRIP THEM..

If you have a warranty, send it in for repairs. DO NOT work on it yourself.
