Solved Computer stuck on windows logo screen

Okey so my options are to download this to another computer and then transfere it over on a DVD?

No, the screen is completely black. There is nothing on the screen after repair mode.
I'm not familiar with the different "codes" you guys use for this. Is there anything else I need to do than downloading --> Burning to a DVD --> Then reinstall windows from the disk?
Don't reinstall.... Why should you?!

Don't you want to save important files/documents first?

Do #19 . if burnt succesfully... boot from it on sick computer. Try to enter recovery environment.
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/668-system-recovery-options.html OPTION TWO. I just want to know if it also black screens.

Do you see the windows as described on tutorial? Does it detect your win7 instance?

Kaktussoft, in a previous message you asked if the mouse cursor appeared after the "Loading Files" screen when clicking "Repair Windows" in F8 Repair mode. After doing it again I did infact see the cursor, and I was able to move it around just fine. But there was nothing to click, no alternatives. Just the black screen with the cursor. Is this a sign of something?

See #14

But try to make an install DVD as asked in #21 . Enter recovery environment from there instead. Post results

I spent the entire night yesterday burning the file linked in a previous message to a DVD. When I boot from the DVD, for one: Windows is now in english. I tried the F8 option after the loading files screen. Now it seems like everything I click will lead to the screen going black, and after a while the cursor appears.

After looking at http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/668-system-recovery-options.html What I am experienceing is nothing like what is showed there. When I click Boot from DVD the "Loading Files" screen appears (this time its taking alot longer to load than without the DVD). But unless I click F8 to enter the advanced options screen, the windows animation logo will appear for just a second, dissapear and after a while I get the cursor on the black screen...

Be sure to boot from DVD! It will display "press any key to boot from DVD" or something similar. So press a key. What happens exactly next?

That is the first screen I get: Press any key to boot from CD/DVD. After I click that, it goes to the "Loading Files" screen. But if I dont go into the "Advanced Options" F8 screen, the PC will try to load windows normal and my screen goes black and the cursor will appear after a while.

Read #26 again (I changed it). I'm not talking about F8! Not talking about Advanced Boot options!

Yes I have seen that, I get the Boot from CD / DVD screen but I dont get to the next step. Ill write everything that happends from the start and the shutdown of the computer: The PC turns on, I get the boot from DVD screen, next it goes onto "Loading Files" screen. After that is done the windows animation logo appears for a fraction of a second and dissapears again. After that the screen goes black and the cursor appears after a while. Thats what I've been trying to explain, I dont get the options that are shown in the guide!

"Press any key to continue" stays on screen for about 8 seconds. Press a key after 1 second. Does it really continue immedately? So you know for sure the keypress is accepted?

All in video should happen. You get stuck at 1:12 ? You see the animation (although a split second)?

This seems about right yes, and yes the windows animation appears for a split second then the screen goes black, and nothing appears exept a large cursor after a while

So screen goes black. With a large cursor you mean the mouse pointer... correct? You can move the mouse pointer? So it's actually doing something! Only you can't see it. Is disk flashing still flashing after you see mouse pounter?

Exactly same behavior as in booting normal mode?
Exactly same behavior as in booting safe mode?
If not tell me the difference

Btw it's not a win7 error! You booted from dvd which doesn't touch the normal win7 system. In some stage it accesses the harddisk to find a win7 installation... but that's further away in process. Your harddisk is accessible anyway.

If screen is black... wait 15 minutes... sometimes it continues with unkown reason

The screen goes black with a large mouse pointer yes. I can move it around. But there is no options on the screen, just the mouse cursor. What do you mean about disk flashing?

Well the difference from before is that its in english when I boot from the DVD, and the "Loading Files" screen takes longer. And before I booted from the DVD the computer was stuck on the Windows Animation Logo. Now it skips the windows animation logo after a second.

I'm going out for a few hours soon, I'll set the PC to load while I'm gone and see if there is anything new.

disk flashing: I mean is the disk light blinking.. so is there any disk activity?

I think recovery environment works... just displays nothing.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2083-system-repair-disc-create.html create that disk on another x64 win7 machine. Boot from that dvd/cd on sick machine. If screen is black and mouse pointer is there:
-wait 20 seconds and press enter
-wait 20 seconds and press enter
-wait 20 seconds and press enter
-wait 20 seconds and press enter
-wait 20 seconds and press enter

Any disk activity? during or between the steps? pressing enter should bring you to startup repair. Startup repair uses a lot of disk activity, so you can see it.

Hi again, I delivered the PC to my uncle (who works with this) and he found the problem real quick. It appeared the SSD which was running the OS was messed up real bad. So he DLed a clean version of win7 and put it on my other HDD. PC is now working like a dream :) Thanks for all the help and response on this thread! And I'm sorry I cant come with more details on the how and what :)
